New dental patients prioritized: children, pregnant women, high-risk, veterans, elderly and Rural Health referrals. Emergency care for all Eastern Shore residents. Limited - insured or adults with cancer, HIV, diabetes, pregnant or migrant workers. Accepts dental insurance (private or Medicaid).
How community health centers work
Community health centers receive federal funding to serve everyone, including people without insurance. Uninsured patients pay on a sliding scale based on household income and size, and most centers accept Medicaid and CHIP. They cannot turn you away because you are unable to pay. Ask what to bring to qualify for the discount, usually photo ID and proof of income.
